👋 Hi, my name is Alex! I’m a UX Researcher working to build fairer AI.
I am a Master’s student at the University of Washington in Human-Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE). I also work as a Research Associate in the Human-AI Interaction Lab and Misinformation & AI Lab at UT Austin’s School of Information.
Through my research, I have worked on building fairer and more equitable AI in diverse domains, including:
Zhang, A., Boltz, A., Wang, C. W., & Lee, M. K. (2022, April). Algorithmic management reimagined for workers and by workers: Centering worker well-being in gig work. In Proceedings of the 2022 CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (pp. 1-20).
Algorithmic and Crowdsourced Misinformation
